If you won one million dollars, what would you do first? How would you live? What if instead of the million dollars, you were given something even better?
Christians get a bad rap these days because, well, a lot of them deserve it. We don't glorify God with our actions or our words. But why is that?
Jealousy and I go way back. But what if you didn't have to be? Jealous, I mean? Of anyone?
You know that scene in every teen movie where the main character is wearing something very special, like her grandmother's necklace, but then she goes to a party and loses it?
Why do we do the exact same thing?
What kind of Lover doesn't see a future with their beloved? What kind of Romantic doesn't lie awake at night, dreaming sweet dreams about the new life they and their beloved will live together? Imagine Jesus lying awake thinking about you.
Which one are you?
He'd move mountains for us, stay up all night talking to us, pour out blessings so that we won't have room for them. How can we resist that? How do we give that energy right on back to Him?
Surely God can manage a global pandemic.
Maybe we tell ourselves these things, but we're looking around. We're seeing people dying. We're seeing people suffering.
Does God really know what He's doing?
We want "yes", but God says "no". Or we want "no", when God actually says "yes". What are we supposed to do in these situations?
